Vinay Venkataraghavan – Security lessons from the field to harden containerized applications on Kubernetes

Enterprise adoption of microservices deployed as containerized applications on Kubernetes is growing at a rapid pace. There has been a simultaneous growth in the adoption of open source software and packages. Consequently, security and devops teams are tasked with tackling attack vectors from 3 major threat dimensions. In this talk we describe these threat dimensions along with the battle tested techniques from the field, that are used to secure and protect these applications. Specifically we deep dive into techniques used to inject security natively throughout the application lifecycle: from build to deploy to run.
