The purpose of this session is to present the transformative journey of the University of Bergen (UiB) towards a digitally-enabled, professional project management environment. We will explore the challenges that prompted the change, detail the strategic implementation of digital tools and methodologies, and discuss the outcomes that have redefined project delivery within the university.
During this session, we will cover three primary areas: The integration of a tailored PRINCE2 framework within UiB’s unique academic and administrative context, the deployment of Microsoft 365 and SharePoint as central platforms for project management, and the critical role of cultural adaptation in successful digital transformation.
Participants will walk away with a clear understanding of the following key takeaways:
The strategic importance of adapting project management methodologies to fit organizational culture and needs.
The effective use of digital tools to enhance collaboration and project efficiency.
The ongoing commitment required to drive and sustain organizational change in a university setting.
This session not only highlights the challenges and successes encountered by UiB but also offers valuable insights and strategies that can be applied to similar transformations in other institutions.
