DevOps and data are closely linked in modern software development. As software becomes more advanced, sensitive data must be safeguarded from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. The process of developing, deploying and maintaining software systems can create vulnerabilities that compromise data privacy and security. Therefore, organizations need to adopt a culture of security that emphasizes data protection as a core aspect of software development. By integrating data protection throughout the DevOps process, including security controls, automation tools, and regular audits, organizations can ensure that their processes align with data protection goals and maintain the privacy and security of sensitive data.
