This is Techstrong tv. Hi everyone, I'm Bonnie Schneider with Techstrong tv, and today I'm pleased to be joined by Jordan Butler, who is the CEO of Clean Light. Jordan, it's great to have you on.
It's great to have to, to be here. Thank you for the invitation. Sure, yeah.
I'd love to hear more about Clean Light and your background. Excellent. Yeah.
Um, clean Light is a company that is developing a technology that makes the industrial companies use solar energy in a more reliable way, and we're pretty happy to be able to get our technology to the US right now. Uh, we have been dominating the, the marketing in Latin America, and I think the, you is going to be really happy with, uh, with what we're bringing here, uh, what we want to manufacture, uh, in US soil. So tell me a little bit more about what you do.
Um, I know you said Latin America now, it's more in, in the us, um, for people that are just unfamiliar with it, totally. Just gimme a synopsis of it. Yeah, of course.
So what we do is that we make portable, um, portable trailers that have solar our panels and batteries, and they are reliable and more affordable than other options. So in terms of what we are changing, uh, we're changing how the mining companies and the construction companies are able to use portable energy, um, changing the use of gas or clean, clean energy as, as solar panels. Uh, and we have been very successful with that.
We saw at the beginning that the big issue that these companies faced was that, um, they wanted to use being energy, but it wasn't reliable or it was really, really expensive to use it. Uh, with our, um, our patented, uh, technology, we were ever able to, to offer a solution that is way cheaper than the alternative, way cheaper than what is, um, a gas solution and also a very reliable, uh, solution. And we ha we were able to take, for example, in Intele all the major mining companies, all the major construction companies, uh, that now they use our, our technology.
And what we're looking to do right now is to bring everything here to the us, be able to manufacture our technology and, and in the us um, with that we're going to be able to, you know, um, supply this product to mining companies, construction companies, governments. Uh, we have seen how the US have a great need to change to clean energy, but also to have consideration with the costs. So where, where an alternative that is going to, you know, improve the numbers, improve the, the, the lap line.
Uh, at the same time we're going to be avoiding, uh, more than eight tons per year in CO2 emissions, uh, per unit. So that's going to be a huge change in the landscape. That's great.
Uh, can you give us some examples of some, uh, companies that you've worked with that have, that have made the change to, to clean energy and maybe the, the positive results that were achieved? Yeah, yeah. Uh, actually we have a couple of, um, Jos companies in Latin America work working with our, uh, technology as F Morgan that's, uh, you know, one of the biggest mining companies in the world that is based in Phoenix.
And they have been using, uh, for, for a while now, uh, our technology in Chile with excellent results. Um, they have been talking to us to bring our technologies to, to the us. Uh, we also have BTP Billington, we have, uh, you know, uh, minerals that is at CM Company.
Um, we have a tech that is a Canadian company, uh, Goldcorp, um, and other mining companies that are huge. Um, Barrick also. Um, those companies are huge in the, in the worldwide scenario.
Um, they have been pretty happy with our solution at some point. When we started the company four years ago, BHP ton actually specify that our solution, that's the only solutions that we're working to achieve the economic results and also the operation, the operations, um, result that they needed at that time and, and that we were pretty happy when, when that happened. You mentioned, um, you work in Latin America and now moving into the us.
Um, what would you say, how would you describe the, the interest and the desire to move to clean energy in both these parts of the world? Well, I think, uh, the us, the US is not, uh, forcing a lot of, uh, transition to clean energy like other, other economies, but at the same time, um, they are looking for options to, to do it in the right way, to don't compromise the results of the, of the businesses. And I think that is a pretty good approach.
And the government is poaching with a lot of incentive to help companies like mine, uh, entering the, the US market. So I would say that if we can deliver to the progress that we're going to improve the results of our customers, uh, we're going to be in, uh, in good hands here in the US because everyone is looking for how we can avoid CO2 emissions, but at the same time, um, have everything running. Uh, from the business side.
What are some of the industries that you're serving with clean energy and are you at all looking at data centers? Um, a lot of our viewers work in it, and they may be interested in that. Yeah, that isn't is actually a huge possible customer for us.
Uh, in the US we're looking for, uh, construction companies that use a lot of, uh, diesel generators and diesel lighting towers, uh, instead of solar lighting towers like the ones we provide. Um, and, and the market here for this kind of products, huge more than $7 billion per year. Um, so the construction companies are going to be one of our, one of the markets that we're going to be aiming to.
Um, but also we have a lot of, uh, trust that the governments, you know, the governments and all kind of of of, uh, organizations of the government are going to be interested to have a solution that is going to provide reliability. They're not going to need to, uh, care about logistics of, uh, you know, fuel transportation and it's going to be clean. So I think, uh, the government is going to be a huge customer for us at the same time.
And the data center, data centers market is also something that we are working on right now. We have a couple of customers that are using our technology in the, in, in Latin America, uh, providing power to data centers and in, in, uh, quantity as big as the us it's going to be key for the data centers to have a reliable, uh, power source like ours. Have you faced any challenges in communicating the benefits of clean energy to prospective customers?
And, and if so, how have you been able to overcome it and, and get your messaging right? That's a, an excellent question. Uh, really, really good question.
Um, we have the challenge to try to make our customers understand and why it's important to change to Glen Energy and what we do, uh, is actually make them model with them how your business is going to be better from the business side, business point of side, uh, using our technology or using or using clean energy as a whole. And, and then, then we provide the, the, you know, environmental point of view. But at the, at the beginning we, we talked more mostly about how we're improving the business using clean energy, because the, the I, what, the reason I'm, I am so proud about Greenlight is that we were able to provide a better business for our customers using clean energy.
But first is that it's, it is going to be a better business because they're going to be able to profit more to, you know, reduce the cost in gas, reduce the costing in, in, in these kind of, uh, products. And, um, at the beginning it wasn't that way. We needed to wait until the technology was advanced enough until we can actually provide a solution that was, um, affordable for our customers.
Uh, we needed to develop the technology, the electronics, the, the PCVs, the PVT regulators that make it reliable, uh, at the same time, um, it was a a, a pretty good journey. And, uh, we think that that is the, that is the reason, um, why the customers purchase our, our product. So to, you know, make them see the benefits.
We make the math with them, you know, every month, how much has their, you know, saving use. And, and that makes pretty clear that our technologies way better than other technologies. Where do you see the, the future of, of the quest for clean energy?
Uh, you know, across the world it seems like it's, it's definitely growing. The interest is growing and of course we have more regulations that are pushing us in that direction, but where, where do you see this going? Well, I think there is no place for fossil fuels in the future.
I don't see that, uh, that happening. I think everything is going to be powered by clean energy and we're going to have different kind of clean energy taking the world here. Probably the solar energy is going to taking place in the small, uh, loading, uh, needs.
For example, presidential use probably is going to be your solar r and d, but when you are going to need, for example, a great amount of power, probably we're going to be using H two hydrogen. Um, the reason of that is that the, the, the space needed to actually get solar power, uh, to provide a huge, uh, amount of power, um, it doesn't make any sense. On the other hand, the hydrogen, um, is going to be too expensive in a small quantity.
So I think it's going to be a mix between those two energies until we invented a new technology that is probably is going to be better than this two. But I see a few to probably intend to 15 years where every house is going to be able to self produce the energy and we're going to forget that we needed to distribute the power in in our cities. And, and the distribution of the power is probably the, the thing that must pollute the, the environment to, to, um, to, you know, the need to bring power from prop point A to point B is one of the thing that we can forget every house.
That makes sense. Yeah, that makes sense. Thank you so much, uh, Jordan Butler, who is the CEO of Clean Light, it's been great to speak with you and look forward to seeing more about, um, your, your journey going forward and look forward to having more interviews like this one on Techstrong tv.
Thank you. Thank you very much. Alright, stay with us everyone.
