Why Your Best People Can’t Save a Broken Delivery System
Marnus Marx, Founder and Delivery Confidence Coach at Elanvia Consulting Ltd, joins Alan Shimel on Techstrong.TV to unpack why enterprise delivery breaks down — and it’s rarely the team’s fault.
Marnus shares his path from Unix/Linux systems into DevOps and delivery coaching, explains what “delivery confidence” actually means for leadership, and walks through how he diagnoses systemic issues like decision latency and priority misalignment that get mistaken for execution failure.
The conversation also covers where DevOps maturity stands today, the recurring “wrong data” problem inside platform engineering efforts, and how organizations should be coaching both over-eager AI adopters and anxious resistors through the shift to agentic AI — by redefining employee value around outcomes, not tasks.
