Heroku’s New Cloud Native Buildpacks with Bob Wise at KubeCon Paris 2024

Kickstart your container app journey with Heroku’s language expertise as the base. Today we are thrilled to announce a further commitment from the Heroku team to the Cloud Native Buildpack (CNB) standard with the beta release of a set of publicly available CNBs for Ruby, Node.js, Python, PHP, Go Java and Scala. These CNBs showcase the ability to build applications and manage their dependencies with greater visibility and control. Meanwhile, we will continue our investment in leveraging Kubernetes for a future Heroku experience that includes the ability to deploy CNB-based applications, empowering users to effortlessly build and manage container images at scale. With the introduction of Heroku-curated Cloud Native Buildpacks, we’re committing to cloud-native leadership to enhance the developer and operator experiences on Heroku.
