Efforts continue to build meaningful pathways into open source contribution, as part of a collaborative initiative between local and global communities, both in and outside of tech.
Jay works between education, industry, community and local government stakeholders in Aotearoa (New Zealand) to build digital access, awareness and capability. Part of this involves creating career and development opportunities in global mentoring programs as co-chair of the CNCF Mentoring WG, with the goal of creating pathways for Māori and other underrepresented groups into open source cloud.
